Cookie Notice
Last updated: April 29, 2026
This Cookie Notice explains how GolemType ("Golem", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (golemtype.com) and in our account dashboard.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, such as your preferred language or login session. Similar technologies (like localStorage and sessionStorage) work the same way but store data only on your device and are not sent with every request.
2. What we use them for
Golem only uses strictly necessary technologies. We do not use marketing, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies on this website.
- Authentication: When you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) stores a session token in your browser's localStorage. Without it you would have to log in again on every page.
- Language preference: We save your selected language (English / Spanish) in localStorage under the key
golem-langso the site loads in your language next time. - Checkout (Stripe): When you upgrade, Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout domain to prevent fraud and process payments. These are governed by Stripe's own policies.
3. What we do NOT use
- No analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Mixpanel) at this time.
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No social media tracking pixels.
If we add analytics in the future, we will update this page and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.
4. Managing cookies
Because the only data we store is essential for the site to work, there is no consent banner. You can clear cookies and localStorage at any time from your browser settings. Note that signing out and clearing this data will end your session and reset your language preference.
