Terms of Service

Welcome to Golem Type ("Golem", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use Golem.

1. Description of Service

Golem Type is a desktop voice-to-text application for Windows that uses AI-powered transcription and text rewriting capabilities. The service is provided by Cattory ("the Company").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Golem. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

You may create an account to access Golem's features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Free and Paid Plans

Golem offers a free tier with limited monthly usage (3,000 words and 5 AI rewrites per month) and a paid Pro plan with unlimited usage at $7/month. Paid subscriptions are processed through our payment partner, CREEM.

• Billing: Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at hey@cattory.co.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Use the service for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the service
• Transmit harmful, abusive, or illegal content through the service

6. Intellectual Property

Golem, its logo, design, and code are the intellectual property of Cattory. You retain ownership of all content you create or process through Golem. We claim no rights over your transcriptions or rewritten text.

7. Third-Party Services

Golem uses third-party AI services (including Groq for transcription and language processing) to deliver its core functionality. Your use of Golem is also subject to the terms and policies of these providers. We are not responsible for the performance or policies of third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Golem is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that transcriptions will be 100% accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cattory shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of Golem.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the application or via email. Your continued use of Golem after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
